Healthway, in partnership with the Drug and Alcohol Office, is pleased to announce The Community Alcohol Grants Program. The funding is available to eligible incorporated organisations in WA to support them in identifying and addressing issues of alcohol related harm at a local community level. The funding will support the implementation of local community initiatives aimed at preventing and reducing alcohol-related harm.
There are two categories of funding available, each with their own application form.
• $5,000 and under

Some of the initiatives that may be funded include:
Community forums
Resource development
Communication strategies
Men’s and/or women’s health or activity programs
Local media partnerships
Initiatives to support the creation of safer drinking environments
Projects that aim to reduce harm from alcohol in settings e.g., sporting clubs, workplaces or in the community and that actively involve the formation of partnerships with groups or organisations working in those settings
Training programs designed to increase the capacity of local organisations and community members to develop and implement local alcohol prevention activity
Projects that reduce alcohol-related injuries, including injuries arising from accidents, violence and assault.
