Responsible Service of Alcohol Campaign Dec 09 - Jan 10

A new Alcohol. Think Again  campaign has been launched which aims to increase support for bar staff who refuse service of alcohol to drunk patrons.

The key message is that drunk people don’t think straight - support bar staff who stop serving them alcohol before they harm others.

The campaign also aims to:
• Increase responsible service of alcohol in licensed premises.
• Increase awareness that bar staff are legally obliged to refuse alcohol service to patrons who appear drunk even if they are not being disorderly.

The campaign is a partnership project between the Drug and Alcohol Office (DAO), the Injury Control Council of WA (ICCWA) and the Department of Health.
